The Problem for White America
White America has to ask itself is it really and truly psychologically prepared for the emotional trauma of a downfall in the alleged truth that they have so thoroughly wrapped their faith around concerning Simpson's guilt were it to be exposed as a lie. Could America stand another lie greater in magnitude than the lie that became the basis for the human sacrifice of young American lives in Iraq, and the hundreds of billions of dollars expended in a worthless decade long war based upon those intentionally false allegations of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) fed to the American people to get their anger heated up? Just what would people in the U.S.A. do and feel to know that the whole Simpson affair was as much of an intentionally prepared fraud as the preparations for entering the Iraqi theater of war? Would it be more shameful and burdensome to bear to have it revealed by black professionals who have coolly and calmly gone about the work of their due diligence in stock piling evidence that indicates that the worst has actually taken place in the Simpson matter; that the American public and the world has been bamboozled, flim-flammed, conned, lied to, regarding Simpson's guilt?
The Big Lie!
It started back in 1996 when a medical doctor, later to become chairman of an independent investigative group, was given the autopsy reports on Simpson's wife, Nicole, and her friend, Ron Goldman. The doctor could clearly see that the knife wounds as described by the prosecution's theory of OJ Simpson the sole perpetrator did not line up correctly with either a single right hand assailant as the prosecutor wanted people to believe in the case of OJ Simpson. The autopsy report clearly reduced the odds of a right handed attack on Nicole and increased the probability that she was attacked and killed by a left handed assailant. The second report clearly cast doubt on Ron solely being attacked by one right hand assailant with a single edge knife. The medical examiner, Dr. Irwin Golden, had noted that 23 wounds to Goldman's right side neck and face carried the imprint of a double edged knife or dagger. However, all of the two dozen wounds to the facial area were superficial but a wound clearly identified as a single edge knife wound penetrated his right side and went through his rib cage while puncturing the bottom of his aorta causing massive internal bleeding resulting in his ultimate death.
As compelling as the lies exposed in the case of the knife wounds there was even one far more insidious and crucial lie being told that ultimately would be more compelling and damaging than the contradictory medical evidence.
A Bigger Lie Told!
The doctor who made the initial discoveries of medical malfeasance became the chairman of an equally bunch of curious researchers that would be organized into a tight knit investigative organization called OMIG, which is the shortened abbreviation for the Ocean Medical Investigative Group of Los Angeles, California. In the spring of 1998, the chairperson, Dr. Henry S. Johnson, a board certified internist, contacted his brother in Minneapolis and raised the issue of the Brown family's time travel by car between Brentwood, Los Angeles County and Dana Point, Orange County. Dr. Johnson had noted that a stipulation entered by prosecutor Marcia Clark and defense attorney Robert Shapiro and later reaffirmed by Simpson attorney, Johnnie Cochran, locked the Brown family into an impossible travel time of approximately 45 minutes. All parties pretty much agreed that the proper travel time between the two destinations was between an hour and a half to two hours. The latter time period seemed to be more accurate considering the ongoing construction taking place in 1994 to increase the number of car lanes from four to five to include the HOV (high occupancy vehicle) lane. Before Dr. Johnson could go public with his concerns regarding this irregularity his staff asked that he confirm the time by reviewing the telephone records in the Simpson case file. Dr. Johnson's brother who was one of the group who insisted upon this protocol was assigned the task of coming to L.A. and going to the Los Angeles County Superior Court to examine these records. What he ultimately found is that the Brown telephone records entered by stipulation (agreement of attorneys) had been removed with the application for a secretive (ex parte) court order by one of the prosecutors in the Simpson trial. Actually the court order was granted by Judge John H. Reid to the first lead prosecutor in the Simpson case, William Hodgeman, who at the time was still designated as a deputy district attorney, but that would be not for long. Hodgeman who refused to sign a prepared receipt manifest acknowledging his possession of all of the exhibits entered in the Simpson trial would later be promoted to being one of the very limited Assistant District Attorneys for Los Angeles County. The OMIG investigators now began to public criticize the removal of the Simpson exhibits and especially the "Juditha Brown Phone Records" and demand their replacement.
The controversy surrounding the removal of the telephone records would begin to cause a major stir in the general marketplace in L.A. and cause L.A. officials to attempt to engage in control of the public outrage to keep it from spreading back over the Rockie Mountains towards the Eastern and Mid-Western states. However, the more the officials' efforts intensified the more that other vital information leaked out, including Johnnie Cochran's admission of his own knowledge and involvement in concealing these crucial phone records, as seen below.
